Juan Sebastian Castillo

Juan Sebastian Castillo Perez is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Applied Social and Cultural Psychology program at Florida International University. His research FOCI focuses on Latino social systems and how the dynamic interaction between social and cultural factors at multiple levels produces differential mental health and well-being outcomes in this population. Juan Sebastian hopes his contribution to this book will encourage and aid others, especially those from diverse ethnic, academic, and professional backgrounds, to navigate the life-changing experience of pursuing a Ph.D.
