Kate Long
Katherine (Kate) Long is a 3rd-year Ph.D. student in Developmental Science at Florida International University. She also is a licensed occupational therapist with close to 6 years of experience working on school-based and hospital settings. Kate is a cisgender heterosexual White woman who has been married to her husband, James, for 4 years. Her research focuses on Down syndrome, the experiences of caregivers, and functional rehabilitation. Kate is an avid animal lover who enjoys caring for her two pet rats and pet sitting in her spare time. She hopes to encourage readers to pursue wellness and live according to their values throughout the Ph.D. journey.Â
