Zharia Thomas

Zharia Thomas is a 4th-year Ph.D. student in Developmental Psychology at Florida International University. She is a cisgender Black woman whose research focuses on factors that influence Black women’s maternal health and wellbeing, including health disparities, stereotypes, and cultural norms of femininity. She utilizes qualitative methodology including community-based participatory research to investigate and communicate Black women’s experiences and perspectives.
